- Wattie L. Eldrdge Jarvis was buried in Holy Sepuchre Cemetery. She died October 19, 1947, of a stroke with cerebral paralysis, Section 14. Lot 386, grace 12. She purchased at least 5 cemetery lots on May 31, 1929. Her husband Francis Xavier Jarvis died March 27, 1929. She was living at 5024 Middlesex at the time of the puruchase. Hers ons William and Willard are buried in these plots along with perhaps three of her Jarvis grnadhcildren; Irvin J, 5 mos, John Jarvis, age 2 yrs, and Mary, age 7, the last with severe burns.
Her last son, Erwin Jarvis owned the the lots in joint. He was proably living with his parents at the time of his father's death and this may be the address that Francis Xavier Jarvis lived at when he died a couple of months before.
The June, 1880 deral Census of Berlin Township has the following entry. While the family entry does not contain Wattie, who may be a servant girl (she is about 16) in another household at this census, it does suggest proximity to the Jarvis Family and Francis X. Jarvis who married a Wattie Eldridge. Wattie had a daughter named Clarisse, who would thus be named after her grandmother. This Clarisse in adult life was Mrs Clarisse Brown Harker, of Payne Ave, Dearborn, MI, in the 1960's who gave Patrick L. Tombeau information on the Francis X. Jarvis branch of the family (see Francis' entry)
