    • Obituary from The Standard Press, August 3, 1981, states that she died in her home in Fairfield, WI. She was born in Sterling, Il, and grew up and was educated there. She married in Burlington, WI, George Hancock in 1952. She lived in Burlington until 1973 when she moved to Augusta, WI, and then to Fairchild in 1978. In Augusta, WI, she and her husband operated the Gateway Nite Club. In Fairchild they owned and operated the Overhaed Bar. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. Burial services were from McCarthy-Koenig Funeral home to the Burlington Cemetery. She was survived by her husband, her step mother, Mrs. Aletta Reinhart Smith, Beaver Dam; a daughter, Christy (Don) Jackson, Minneapolis, MN; four sons, David of Wheaton, IL; james, Kansasville, WI; Peter, New Orleans, LA; Michael, Arlington, VA; two grandchildren; a sister, Irene Grey, of Skokie, IL, two brothers, Benjamin and Herbert (sic, shuld be Hubert), both of California, and other relatives.
