  Bernine Counter Dario died as the result of a stab wound to the heart when she surprised a burglar in her apartment. Her mother states this hasten the death of her father. He was bedridden at the time and went downhill rapidly thereafter. Mrs. Counter considered it the greatest tragedy in their lives. (Letter addressed to me, dated August 5, 1997.)
