- Nicolas Bunker went rowing in the Maumee River, Toledo, Ohio, with his wife, Agnes Dusseu, and her cousin Francis Cluckey/Cloutier. They were drinking when Nicolas fell over and drowned. Francis after that would only drink ginger ale and earned the nickname "Ginger" for his practice. Nicolas was a fisherman.
