- Ronald died of carbon monoxide poisoning while sleeping in a room above the Sheldon and Sykes Garage, Winnemucca, NV. Burning coal fumes from a forge came through a window overlooking the garage floor and asphyxiated him. He was 27 and had returned form Michigan to Winnemucca where he had been sent at age 14 when he was left an orphan by his father's death. (obit, Humboldt Star, June 20, 1931, pg. 1, col. 4; June 22, pg 1, col. 2) He is burried in Winnemucca Cemetery, Catholic Section 1, Row A, grave 2. Parents are also buried in this cemetery.
