- Arthur B. LaVoy is an adopted son of Joe Kalke and Nora Teidermann by another marriage. May Kalke was also of this marriage and not a LaVoy. Karen Bodine, second wife of Burt Bordine, former husband of Carolyn Sue Meyers (daughter of Nora Alice LaVoy and Robert Meyers), states the 1910 Census for Monroe County has Norah Teiderman as a widow of Joe Kalke and had two children by him: Arthur and May Kalke.
