| Common Genetic profile Found in Groningen, Holland
This profile corresponds exactly to a genetic STR profile of Patrick L. Tombeau's Y chromosome. This would appear to be the origin of his Dutch immigrant ancestor, William Tombos. Analysis was done September 6, 2007 by the Genographic Project of the National Geographic Society. ID number: FW8V88M5K5. Confirmation of the Groningen, Holland, profile may be found on ystr.org
The Genographic Projecty also determined that Patrcik L. Tombeau belongs to the R1b haplogroup out of East Africa ending in northern Europe approximately 30,000 years ago. The loci used on the Y chromosome analysis are as follows with the short tandem repeats (STR)'s values in parentheses: 393 (13); 19 (14); 391 (11); 439 (12); 389:1 (14) 389:2 (16, total 14 + 16 =30); 388 (12); 390 (24); 426 (12); 385a (11); 385b (15); 392(13).
